Illamasqua: Nurture & Lynnderella: Top 'O the Glitter!

Tonight I have a mani that would be perfect for St. Patrick's Day!

Illamasqua one of my favorite polish brands. I love the makeup, too. Founded in 2008, Illamasqua is a UK based brand and really is what Urban Decay used to be. They have that raw, edgy look and feel that reminds me so much of vintage UD from the late 90's. The makeup is pricey, but it's so worth the money.

Illamasqua has a line of polishes that have a rubber finish. I have quite a few of them and they're all fantastic. It's not a matte finish, it really does look rubber. Nurture is a lime, almost neon green. It's a straight up flat color, no shimmer or duochrome effects. The rubber finishes do apply well. The formula isn't 100% perfect, but they're not bad by any means. I used 2 coats for opacity. You can make these glossy by adding top coat, but that would defeat the purpose and you can easily find a much cheaper, comparable dupe if you want this color glossy. All photos taken in artificial lighting.

Illamasqua's retail for $17 each and you can find them at Sephora.

Then I added Lynnderella Top 'O the Glitter! This polish was sent to me for review by Paul. I have all the other St. Patty's inspired Lynn's and they're all so special and beautiful. TOTG has a clear base with scattered green micro glitter. It's filled with black, green and silver glitters in varying shapes and sizes. There are matte green hexes, black hearts, stars, diamonds and silver hexes. This color is super sparkly in sunlight. The micro glitters really catch the sunlight and make this color pop.

My favorite thing about Lynnderella's is never knowing what you're going to get when you take the brush out of the bottle. It's always a surprise. So there might actually be more shapes in here, but I got what I listed above. No matter how many times you use the same Lynn, it's always going to look different because there's so much in every bottle. These are just a few of the reasons that make me love Lynnderella so much. I used 1 coat of TOTG. You don't need more than that. The formula is perfection. Not too thick or thin. I used Lynn's Glitter Tamer as a top coat. All photos are taken in artificial lighting.

You can find Lynnderella's on her eBay store. Lynnderella.com

Top 'O the Glitter is a limited edition, auction only polish.
